Shakugan no Shana

   Shakugan no Shana is a Japanese Light Novel Series written by Yashichiro Takahashi and published 26 novels from November 2002 to November 2012. Adaptation of anime series with 24 episodes each season was between 2005 years to 2012 years.

Shakugan no Shana

  The concept of the story is the conflict between a world named Crimson World(Japanese: 紅世, Guze) which is the parallel world with Earth. The Crimson World populated by Crimson Denizens (Japanese: 紅世の徒, Guze no Tomogara) who collect Power of Existence (Japanese:存在の力, Sonzai no Chikara) a power from humans to maintain their power or their own purposes. The Crimson Denizens whose more powerful and stands out among their peers and more powerful are known as the Crimson Lord(Japanese:紅世の王, Guze no Ō). After the Power of Existence from humans was collected by Crimson Denizens, human will die immediately existence will also erased from the world may cause the balance of the world will be destroyed. To maintain the balance of world, some Crimson Lord contract with humans to become a Flame Haze (Peoples that stop growing, become immortal. They will get power and ability to fight and hunt Crimson Denizens through contract) and fight with Crimson Denizens.

  The story start with a boy who lives in Misaki City, Japan named Yuji Sakai begins his new high school life. A week later, after Yuji ended his class, he was going to buy CD. On the way home, he mistakenly entered to a space called Seal (Japanese: 封絶, Fūzetsu) that created by magic spell that may stopped everything included times, and all ordinary living beings in the fixed area. He witness how the Crimson Denizens eating humans to collect the Power of Existence include his classmate, Yukari Hirai. He was noticed by the Crimson Denizens and almost eaten by them. Luckily, he was saved by a girl with flaming red eyes and hairs, the Flame Haze who involve into the battle.

The girl who saved Sakai Yuji

  She is a Flame Haze with nickname “Flame- Haired Red- Hot Eyed Hunter” (Japanese: 炎髪灼眼の討ち手, Enpatsu Shakugan no Uchite). After the battle she informed Yuji died some time ago and he is a torch (Japanese: トーチ, Tōchi), replacements of humans after existence eaten by Crimson Denizens for reduce the unbalance of world. Torch act as flames, once the flames are extinguished, the existence of the torch will vanish like never existed before. After he understood the truth of world, he befriends with the girl and starts their battle to protect the world from aggression of Crimson Denizens.

The reason I suggest this anime:

  This anime I knew it from my cousin, she told me the synopsis of this anime, the main reason the anime attracted me is the novelty story setting and character setting of the anime. 

  The character that attracted me from this anime is Shana. Shana is the girl that saved Yuji from the hunt of Crimson Denizens. She is the powerful and talented Flame Haze that carried out her mission for hunting the Crimson Denizens who appear in Earth and destroyed the balance of world. She has a wandering life before she meet Yuji. Her name- Shana was named by Yuji from her nodachi “Nietono no Shana” (Japanese: 贄殿遮那).

  After she replace the exists of Yukari Hirai (Yuji’s classmate, a girl who eaten by Crimson Denizens), only start her normal social activities and life sides. She is a person who is initially cold to another person and showing warmer side over time. Although her first view Yuji is a torch same like others selfish, afraid if death. However, after get along with Yuji for a long time, she was having a deep feeling with Yuji from friendship to love. By Yuji’s influence, she start to have emotions, feelings like a normal people, no more become a simply Flame Haze that keep hunting Crimson Denizens. After she meets Yuji she finally feels cares and loves, she is not alone comparing to previous life before she meets Yuji. The changes and mind growing of Shana is the best aspect for this season.
